Premier's support services cover more than just the Premier Deicer line. We will service and support your existing equipment, regardless of the year or manufacturer. Once you see the quality in which Premier services your existing equipment, we are convinced you will look to Premier for your new equipment.

Additionally, Premier has an extensive plastics and fiberglass division capable of custom molding and forming. We have developed products ranging from GRP overhead windows, to custom basket enclosures and custom polypropylene storage tanks. We welcome all inquiries.

One Man Drive System:  Allows one person full control of the deicer from inside the enclosed cab. This gives one person the ability to run all deicing functions and control movement of the chassis from inside the "POD" or Enclosed Cab on the aerial lift. This system can decrease both the time it takes to deice and the man power required to operate the equipment.

Guardian Angel System:  Premier’s exclusive Guardian Angel Monitoring System includes remote access to 29 different functions on the deicers. All functions can be accessed on the MD3 Module or via a computer from remote location. Monitored functions include, fluid pressures, flows and temperatures, electrical components associated with heaters and generators, and many more. Remote access is provided via an onboard modem and provides live readings of applicable functions on the deicer from anywhere in the world.

Blending System: We have developed several variations of blending systems that allow the operator to monitor and adjust the mixture of fluid being dispensed.  This feature makes it possible to adjust the water to glycol ratio depending on the weather condition thus conserving glycol usage.

     
abs_system_400_01   ABS System: The “ABS” or Air Blast System combines conventional deicing with high volume air flow to dramatically reduce glycol use.  The “ABS” deicer is equipped with an electronic valve that allows the operator to adjust the flow rate of glycol giving them the best forced air/glycol combination.  Both of the systems can be operated simultaneously or independently allowing the operator to use the air flow as a precursor to the deicing process.

Fluid Management System:  Allows a company to monitor and keep a detailed record of exactly how much Deice and Anti-Ice fluid is being used and how much is on hand at all times.  Though the system was designed to accommodate the management of Deice and Anti-Ice fluid, it would prove to be a very effective tool monitoring any type of fluid transfer. 

This system operates using a guided wave radar installed on each tank that measures tank volume, then uses and on board modem to transmit the information to a web data base that automatically organizes the data.  Monitoring can be installed on the stationary bulk storage tanks along with each mobile unit to effectively track fluid from the time it’s delivered to the facility to the moment it’s dispensed during a deicing event.

Auto Dock:  When operating the enclosed operators work station (POD), it may become difficult to see all surrounding areas.  Located in the POD is a box with 3 indicator lights and a 2 position toggle switch.  The indicator lights tell the operator when the aerial lift is straight, the inner boom is retracted, and the lower boom is down.  Once all of those tasks have been completed, the operator can then hold the toggle and the POD will straighten and leven, then lower the upper boom until the POD is down in the docking station.  As an added safety feature, there is a sensor under the POD that will stop operation if an object is in the path of lowering.

     

Options

·         Flow Meters:  There is a variety of flow meters that can be incorporated into the deicer.  They range from the simplest design that only supplies a batch total and cumulative total for running calculation, one with a self contained monitor that includes a 100 event memory, time calculations of Deicing/Anti-Icing process, aircraft number, operator ID number and offers a digital printout, to a meter that uses guided wave radar to measure the amount of fluid in the storage tanks before an aircraft is deiced/anti-iced, and the amount of fluid in the tanks at the completion of the event, then calculates the total fluid used.  Some of these flow meters can communicate with the Fluid Management System. 

·         Chassis:  Premier uses either an International chassis or a Ford as their standard models, however customers can request a different model chassis for their deicer as long as it does not compromise the safety of the unit.

·         Chassis Speed Control:  The chassis speed control limits the speed of the chassis when the aerial lift is in operation or no longer in the stowed position.  When the speed control is engaged, the chassis will not be able to exceed 4 mph.  The control module is located in the center of the chassis cab below the dash.

·         Auxiliary Engine:  The standard auxiliary engines used in Premier equipment are Perkins engines but a different make and model can be requested.

·         Enclosed Operators Work Station:  Enclosed operators work station includes, fiberglass basket enclosure, 185 degree basket rotation, (2) joy stick controls for the spray monitor and aerial lift functions, 1200 watt in cab heater, 250 CFM Defroster fan, high back vinyl seat, sides and forward wiper/washer assembly operated independently, deice fluid variable flow rate control, and 3 hella 55 watt sealed beam work lights.

·         Fire Suppression System:    Is an ANSUL purple K manual/automatic fire suppression system with expellant nozzles located in the Auxiliary Engine compartment and heater compartment. One manual activator located at the back of the vehicle adjacent to the heater compartment. Temperature sensors for automatic activation are rated at 360 degrees Fahrenheit.

·         Refractometer:  A Misco in line Re-fractometer for real time monitoring of glycol/water mixture. It is located on the control panel inside the chassis.

·         Remote Tank Level Indicators:  All Premier deicers have sight tubes located on the drivers side of the cabinet to show the fluid levels in each tank.  Remote tank level indicators can be installed inside the chassis that display fluid tank levels in each tank.

·         Immersion Heaters:  Immersion heaters operate specifically from an external power source and can be installed in stainless steel storage tanks to heat the fluid inside the tank without the use of the auxiliary engine.  There are a good addition to the unit for maintain fluid temperature inside the tank with the deicer is not in use.

·         Stainless Steel Storage Tanks:  Stainless steel fluid storage tanks are an upgrade from the standard polypropylene constructed tanks.  They are TIG welded using 12 GA stainless steel making the tanks very durable and allow fluid to be stored at any temperature.

·         Fuel Tank Heaters:  A Fuel tank heater keeps fuel at a constant temperature inside the tank while temperatures outside fluctuate. 

·         Dispense Gun (Frost):  Dispensing gun capable of delivering both a mist or stream.  An ideal gun for frost conditions.

·         Low Fuel and Fluid Shutdown:  The low fluid and low fuel shutdowns are precautionary devices designed to shutdown certain equipment before it is totally empty.

·         Fluid Preheat:  The preheat options circulates deice fluid through the heaters and back to the storage tank until the ambient fluid temperature inside the tank is 100 degrees F.

·         Fluid Storage Tank Insulation:  Insulation can be added around the fluid storage tank to increase the heating efficiency by allow the ambient temperature of the fluid to be maintained inside the tank for an extended period of time.

·         Stainless Steel Heater coils:  The option of having stainless steel heaters increases the projected life of the heaters.  The durability of stainless steel compared to the standard black iron coils over time is significant.
